The Cena moorland is formed due to disturbed runoff as a result of land swamping. It has several small lakes, the largest of which is Skaista Lake. There is a forest massif in the southwestern part of the bog. Peat is also extracted in the bog. The bog began to form about 5,000 years ago. 5 of the 25 habitats in the moorland are habitats of European importance, which together cover 95% of the bog territory.
